Wonderful Lazier Family is in the 100^th Running of the Indy 500 By: Jim Gandolf 2016

Today I will announce that Jaques Lazier is a stand up gentleman! I got a call a week and a half ago to meet Jaques Lazier to meet at a local restaurant to discuss something. I was happy to hear that Jaques was in town! That was great atmosphere in this meeting and Jaques paid for dinner! I feel that next year I have the season set for Jaques Lazier and myself, to go racing, through commitments I have from great companies down on paper, with about three years of long hours and hard work. Jaques got serious and made a strong statement, “Jimmy; we have to help out Dad (Bob Lazier) and Buddy, my brother for this year’s 100^th Running of the greatest 500 mile race!” I was worried and was thinking we can do this if I get the right combination of people helping me get the job done. I had to come up with a plan, and see what we can do, and I said “Yes, Jaques, I can get this done in one way or another?” I just had to get it right, because I really like Jaques, Buddy, and Bob Lazier and love the idea of Lazier Partners Racing! Bob Lazier has so much knowledge in the open wheel racing action it’s like unbelievable to have a conversation with! Bob Lazier was an IndyCar driver and now a team owner and a great father with no more explanation’s need to be expressed. Buddy Lazier is as good as it gets as a race car driver, hello he has won Championships, and the Indy 500 itself! I put a PowerPoint together as Jaques Lazier could barely keep his eyes open in the process of putting this plan together so I can get this in front of my client’s that have committed to give Jaques and I money for the 2017 season for the Verizon IndyCar Season.

I had a plan for the Lazier family, I got a strong friend Keith Sharp, of Sharp Petro involved and he made a few great pitches to some clients he has and we just simply were too late in getting to them for this packages for sponsorship funding. I made contact with some really strong friends that helped here and there with ideas. We were close but the wrong timing and we were running out of time for this year’s big race 100^th Running of the Indianapolis 500 Mile Race! I was in the process in trying to reach everyone that can help us but most of them were traveling Europe, and my best sponsor was traveling, and it was very hard to even reach him in this mad rush of finding the current funds to help the Lazier’s! I would get encouragement from Rick Zellers, and Lance Patterson, and Billy Meyers. That was awesome support as Jaques Lazier and I hit the door running. Conference call to European customers of mine at 3 am in the morning proposals going out in every way. Waiting for the decision to come back to us in any format was an emotional battle, without disturbing the flow of Jaques and my plan for the 2017 season?

Greg Gustin had been traveling across the world and he is Jaques and main major supporter and can be a strong person that make great decisions in the mist of any serious situation in the mist. I want to say thank you Greg Gustin and Ravenswood in this major achievement in committing help for the Laziers and myself next year in helping me have my own team. I am thankful for the team work of the family of the Lazier’s in this pressured situation. I am so proud of Buddy Lazier and this team called Lazier Burns Racing (Lazier Partners Racing) with Lazier Management help in every way, by getting me involved in structuring a plan. I will say a prayer for this 100^th Running of the Indianapolis 500 Mile race, and the safety of all involved to the teams, drivers, and the fans at this year’s race. Other sponsors have come to support this great team in racing as well. I feel Buddy Lazier will do great in this race car by the number of 4, which will be live on ABC tomorrow, and other networks around the world! Jaques Lazier is as happy as all get out too!
